The 18Hundred i s a new restaurant in downtown Bakersfield on the corner of 18th Street and Chester Avenue.

The building was built in 1910, and only the brick walls and tile floors were left. This building has been several businesses throughout the years, a Security National Trust Company, a transportation depot, a rations center during World War 2, and several different restaurants.

Today, The 18Hundred is a family run business with food from the heart. Their menu has classic items like burgers, salads, and specialty cocktails. The thing that has caught Bakersfield by storm are their milkshakes.

These milkshakes are over-the-top with flavor, colors and toppings. Just to name a few, diners can get a milkshake with a birthday cake on top, s'mores, cookies and more!

The 18Hundred is open Monday thru Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for breakfast and lunch; and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner. On Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for breakfast and lunch only.
