BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Summer is the perfect time to indulge in your favorite sweet treat and that is what this week’s Simply Sweet is all about… ice cream! We head over to By The Way Café to make paletas.

Paletas are a lain-inspired frozen treat that is dairy free, and made from fresh fruit. There are several flavors including vanilla, coconut, fruit options and a latin classic... tamarind! You choose your favorite paleta and then dip it in chocolate and then choose any toppings your heart desires.
