BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A man died after crashing into a power pole on Interstate-5 in Buttonwillow Saturday morning.

According to the Kern County Coroner, the victim has been identified as 30-year-old Ulysses Marques-Arias. The Kern County Sheriff's Office said Marques-Aries died at the scene after drving into a power pole just north of Rowlee Road.

Marques-Aries was a resident of Yuma, Arizona, according to KCSO.

There were no other injuries reported and the cause of this crash is under investigation.
