BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The pandemic has increased the need during this holiday season, but it hasn't decreased the community's desire to give.

David Nelson with the Kern County Firefighter's Union joined 23ABC Morning Show to discuss how the food drive is going since it kicked-off Tuesday. Nelson said they have already seen a good turnout over the last few days.

Nelson said they are looking for donations of canned goods, pasta, rice or any new packaged pantry item.

You can drop off donations at "The Station" located on 7900 Downing Avenue.
