BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — America's Job Center is announcing a new emergency hotline for businesses impacted by the coronavirus.

The new hotline will work confidentially with businesses to help them transition and ask questions regarding their business needs at no cost.

Those interested in using the hotline can do so by calling (661) 336-6860 or by email at vasquezs@kerncounty.com or covid@bakchamber.com.

If your employees have lost work or have had hours reduced, please encourage them to apply for Employment Development Department (EDD) Unemployment Insurance (UI). They can visit the America's Job Center website for more information on how to apply for these benefits or to get assistance in connecting to new employment opportunities.
