City allocates additional $2M for B-CARES program, deadline to apply is Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The City of Bakersfield has set a deadline for businesses looking to take advantage of its B-CARES program.

The city has allocated an additional $2 million dollars in federal coronavirus aid relief and economic security funding. The city originally set aside $3 million dollars.

Nearly $2 million dollars in grants have been provided to more than 300 businesses in Bakersfield.

Businesses looking to apply for the funding have until this Friday at 5 p.m. to submit an application.
