BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Golden Empire Transit District announced Monday that two employees at its facility in Bakersfield tested positive for COVID-19.
According to GET officials, the employees are receiving care and quarantined at home.
GET said it has taken the necessary precautions in response to the discovery and has disinfected the aeas of the company that had been exposed.
As a response, the customer service kiosk downtown will have limited hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed from Noon to 1 p.m. for breaks. Customers needing to get route and schedule information can call customer service or visit the GET website, the Transit App., or Token Transit to buy passes.
RYDE requests will need to be made through the TransLoc App. or by calling customer service at 869-6380.
