BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Residents 65 and older can now make an appointment to get the COVID-19 vaccine with Omni Family Health.

The medical center held its first round of vaccinations for residents 65 and older at its Stine Health Center location Thursday. Omni Family Health said twenty residents were scheduled to receive their first vaccination Thursday morning with another 10 in the afternoon.

The vaccination process allows for 10 vaccinations an hour per provider. Omni Family Health said that the vaccine vials contain 10 doses and the vaccine is good for six hours after it is opened.
