Public Health COVID-19 testing gift card program comes to a close

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Kern County Public Health said that due to only a few gift cards remaining, it is closing the COVID-19 testing gift card program.

The remaining gift cards will be distributed at the following sites while supplies last:

  • Good Samaritan Hospital
  • OptumServed Arvin
  • OptumServed Rosamond
  • OptumServed Wasco
  • Public Health Mobile Test Site

On November 17, the Kern County Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of 12,000 $25 VISA gift cards. These gift cards have been given to any person who gets a COVID-19 test at any of the approved sites since the November 30 launch.
