State Superintendent Tony Thurmond is expected to discuss how schools can prepare to support distance learning efforts in the fall.

The discussion will be streamed live Thursday on the California Department of Education Facebook page at 1 p.m.

The governor's office is also expected to provide an update on money that was allocated to education agencies to help stop learning loss in classrooms due to COVID-19.
