Trying to make plans for the 4th of July this year is a little harder. Those Californians who typically flocked to the beach to celebrate now have fewer options to choose from.

Here's a list of what's closed this Independence Day weekend:

Beaches:

  • Los Angeles County beaches will be closed from Friday morning through Monday morning.
  • Ventura County beaches will be closed from Friday morning through Monday morning.
  • Newport Beach City Council closed beaches from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
  • Laguna Beach City Council closed beaches on Saturday.
  • Huntington Harbor beaches, Sunset Beach, and the Pier will be closed on Saturday.
  • Seal Beach closed beaches from Friday night to Sunday morning.
  • Long Beach closed beaches over the entire weekend.
  • Orange County beaches closed throughout 4th of July weekend.
  • San Diego County beaches closed throughout 4th of July weekend.
  • San Francisco beaches closed throughout 4th of July weekend.
  • San Mateo County beaches closed throughout 4th of July weekend.
  • Santa Barbara County beaches closed throughout 4th of July weekend.
  • Santa Cruz County beaches closed throughout 4th of July weekend.
  • Sonoma County beaches closed throughout 4th of July weekend.
