BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Three alleged East Side Crips members took a plea deal Friday in the stabbing death of Bakersfield College football player Aaran Porter.

Porter, a former West High School student-athlete, was stabbed during a fight in a parking lot in Southwest Bakersfield on February 2, 2019. BPD arrested Armani Bonner, Donnie Nolen, and Isaiah Starns in connection to the fight.

Nolen pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter with a gang enhancement for 16 years in prison, according to the Kern County District Attorney's Office, and Armani Bonner pleaded no contest to assault resulting in great bodily injury with a gang enhancement for 10 years. Isaiah Starns pleaded no contest to the same charges as Bonner and faces a six-year prison term.

Sentencing is set for September 15.

An additional suspect, Anthony English, is currently in the process of extradition from the State of Pennsylvania to face charges for the offense.
