BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department cited 10 drivers and impounded six vehicles on Saturday in a effort to curb street racing activity in the city.
According to BPD, additional enforcement was directed Saturday night from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday, in response to street racing. BPD said officers assigned to patrol responded to eight calls for service reporting street racing, and made 18 related traffic enforcement stops.
