(UPDATE 1/4): David Allen Roberson, 60, was arrested for a deadly hit-and-run from July 7, 2020, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
BPD said Robertson was arrested for hit-and-run resulting in death or injury, driving with a suspended license and an active post-release community supervision warrant.
The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying an SUV and driver who were involved in a fatal hit and run.
According to the BPD, officers responded to reports of a vehicle versus bicyclist injury accident in the area of Oak and Palm streets around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday morning. When officers arrived they found a man had been towing a shopping cart with his bike when he was struck. The man sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect vehicle is described as 2000-2006 tan or silver GMC Yukon XL with front-end damage.
