BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a stabbing that left one person with moderate injuries in Southwest Bakersfield.

According to Sgt. Ryan Kroeker, around 9:40 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Buckley Way near Ming Avenue for reports of shots heard. When they arrived they found a victim with moderate stab wounds.

Officers are on scene and information is limited at this time.
