BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police are asking the community for help finding a suspect who put a man in the hospital after a shooting Friday.
BPD officials say the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. on Mount Vernon Avenue near Bernard Street. When officers arrived, the found an adult man with a single gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with "moderate" injuries.
There is no suspect information at this time, but officials say the suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a maroon Chevy Monte Carlo. Anyone with information is asked to call BPD at 327-7111.
