The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting in Northwest Bakersfield.

According to BPD, officers responded Wednesday around 12:50 p.m. to reports of a shooting in a neighborhood off of Hageman Road and Fruitvale Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the victim in the driveway of the home with major injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives are one the scene investigating. BPD said there is no suspect information to report at this time.
