BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for a man they say robbed a Wells Fargo bank on 5401 California Avenue Wednesday.
BPD said officers responded to the bank around 11:54 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, officers told them the suspect entered the bank and presented a note to the teller, claiming to be armed and demanding money. After obtaining money from the teller, the suspect fled on foot.
BPD said the man is described as Hispanic, 20 to 30 years old, and standing between 5-foot, 7 to 10-inches tall. He has a medium build, light complexion, and was wearing a black Nike baseball cap, light-colored face covering, black shirt, blue denim pants and black athletic shoes.
