BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault that happened in Central Bakersfield over the weekend.

BPD said during the evening hours Saturday, a sexual assault occurred in the 700 block of 34th Street.

The suspect is described as a Black male, age 20 to 30 years old,. He stands 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He has shoulder length dreadlocks or braids and was last seen wearing a Gray shirt, camouflage shorts, tan boots.
