BPD looking for suspects wanted for alleged assault of an officer over the weekend

The Bakersfield Police Department is looking to identify two men suspected of assaulting an officer over the weekend.

BPD said the incident happened Sunday night in the 2700 block of Calloway Drive. The officer was attempting to arrest an unrelated subject for reckless driving, when the below subjects interfered and physically assaulted the officer.

The first suspect is described as a White or Hispanic man in his late teens with short build and tattoo on right bicep. He has short hair and was wearing a black and grey tank top.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s with a heavy build and a beard. He was wearing glasses, a white shirt, grey baseball hat, and has a tattoo on his left wrist.
