BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A red Jeep was caught on video Wednesday accelerating closely to a group of protesters silently gathered in Downtown Bakersfield.

The incident happened at the intersection of 23rd Street and Chester Avenue. The video shows the jeep begin to accelerate near where protesters are sitting, before speeding away.

No injuries were reported but the Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the incident.
