BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner's Office has ruled Terrence Letrey Griffin's death an accident after he was struck by a train in East Bakersfield last week.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Griffin, 26, was struck by a train on Edison Highway, east of Morning Drive, just after 8 a.m. Thursday. He was declared dead at the scene.

KCSO said Union Pacific Railroad Police is handling the investigation.
