BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County District Attorney's Office confirmed misdemeanor battery charges were filed against a man involved in an altercation after video of the incident went viral last month.

On Oct. 10, Nicholas Fry was caught on video charging into a group of Black Lives Matter supporters on the corner of Rosedale Highway and Coffee Road in Northwest Bakersfield. Fry was there as part of a group of President Trump supporters.

The video shows the two groups only arguing at first, but then the altercation turns physical when the group of Trump supports accuse a man of touching a dog.

Fry is then seen in the video yelling at the man before he charges forward. That's when the altercation turns violent.

The video has been seen over 4 million times.
