SHAFTER, Calif. — A woman is facing felony charges of vehicular manslaughter and willful cruelty to a child following a crash that killed a 6-year-old boy in Shafter back in February.

According to the Kern County District Attorney's Office, 31-year-old Breanna Jimenez is facing one count of felony manslaughter and three counts of felony cruelty to a child in connection to a crash that killed 6-year-old Jaden Jimenez.

The crash happened on February 21, just before 3:40 p.m. on West Tulare Avenue, just east of Poplar Avenue in Shafter. According to officials, Jaden was a passenger of the vehicle when it left the roadway and crashed.
