An inmate who walked away from a minimum-security Baseline Conservation Camp in Tuolumne County was caught in Oildale and taken to North Kern State Prison Friday night.
According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, 40-year-old Jason Stout walked off the prison around 7 a.m. on Wednesday. CDCR officials formed a Fugitive Apprehension Team with the Safety Special Services Unit and local law enforcement.
On Friday night around 8:55 p.m., Stout was found in Oildale where he was taken into custody and transported to North Kern State Prison where he will reside from now on.
Stout was sentenced in 2014 to 12 years and eight months for first-degree burglary in Los Angeles County. He was scheduled to be eligible for parole in November 2021.
