BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Wednesday afternoon, KCSO arrested 20-year-old Isreal Chuca, in connection with a shooting on Barlow Street in August 2019 that left one dead and one injured.

In August, after getting to the scene, KCSO deputies found 40-year-old Carlos Venegas suffering from gunshot wounds, he was later pronounced dead.

A second male victim was found and was taken to the hospital where he was treated and later released.
