BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The man caught on video being scared off by a 10-year-old girl has been arrested. The whole incident was caught on security video.

The girl's family said it happened around 4 p.m. on May 21st. in the area of Norris Road and Quail Creek.

Lola Letourneau was helping out her mom by starting the car and turning the air conditioning on in the family's SUV. As she sat in the car, she saw a man approach the family's home.

"I said, if you get in that situation just yell, i mean, especially with the pandemic going on, there's a lot of people home, just scream and someone is going to come outside," Lola's stepdad Dylan Pendley said. "Fortunately, my neighbor he came out."

The man immediately runs off as Lola can be seen running towards the home.

With the help of the community the suspects was identified as 59-year-old Michael King.

King was arrested in Wasco Wednesday.
