WASCO, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in Wasco after a victim showed up to the substation asking for help.

According to KCSO, around 7:27 p.m., a man with a gunshot wound arrived at the Wasco substation. Personnel at the substation called for medical aid and the victim was airlifted to Kern Medical.

Investigators were able to locate the crime scene at the West Side in Wasco and isolate the scene for evidence.
