KCSO investigating shooting that left one injured in front of Niles St. bar

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting outside a Niles Street bar that put a man in the hospital just before midnight Saturday.

According to KCSO, the victim is in stable condition after being shot in the abdomen.

Deputies responded just before midnight to reports of a shooting in front of Stella’s Sand Trap in the 3100 block of Niles Street. Through the investigation, deputies learned the victim and the suspect were involved in an argument in the parking lot before the shooting.

The suspect shot the victim at the scene and fled before deputies arrived.
