OILDALE, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified the two people whose bodies were found off State Road just east of Highway 99.

Officials said deputies were called to 5900 block of State Road between Norris Road and Olive Drive in Oildale for a report of two possibly deceased people around 4:15 on June 11th. Deputies discovered two bodies at the scene.

They were identified by the KCSO as 35-year-old Daniel Reyna Plazola and 41-year-old Melissa Ann Mccutcheon.

According to the KCSO both had been shot.

The investigation is on-going and no additional information is available at this time.
