KCSO identified 71-year-old Javier Ibarra-Ibarra as victim in Wasco stabbing, still looking for suspect

KCSO today announced they have identified the subject of this deadly stabbing, 71-year-old Javier Ibarra-Ibarra.

On May 27 at 8:52 p.m. Javier Ibarra-Ibarra was found stabbed by another at was found in the 1000 block of F Street in Wasco with multiple stab wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Just hours after the stabbing, the Kern County Sheriff's Office said it has a suspect. KCSO announced a warrant has been issued for 28-year-old Juan Carlos Ortega in connection to this case.

According to KCSO, Ortega is described as a Hispanic male, standing 6-feet tall and weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Ortega is believed to be driving a light colored 4-door Honda Sedan with a dark colored passenger side door and hood.

He was last seen in the area of Lincoln Street and Haley Street in East Bakersfield.
