BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — One man has been arrested Monday night after crashing into a motel in Bakersfield, where he fled from police, and discarded a gun, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The Motel 6 was located on 1350 Easton Drive in Southwest Bakersfield.
BPD said just before 9 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Motel 6 on 1350 East Drive for a vehicle into a building. When they arrived, the driver of the vehicle took off on foot and police pursued him. Police said as he fled the man discarded a firearm.
According to BPD, the man was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for driving under the influence and weapons violations.
