BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A man is behind bars and another is recovering in the hospital with moderate injuries following a shooting in South Bakersfield Friday morning, the Bakersfield Police Department reported.
According to BPD, 36-year-old Deo Edward Harris is facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a felon in connection to a shooting in the 2700 block of Morin Court.
Officer responded to the shooting just 8:30 a.m. Friday where they found a man with moderate injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.
Follow-up investigation led officers to Harris. He was arrested just after 2 p.m. in the 1400 block of South H Street.
BPD said Harris was booked into the Kern County Jail.
