A man was taken into custody Friday night after firing a shotgun into the air in Oildale.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched following reports of a man shooting a shotgun into the air in the area of Warren Street and Oildale Drive.

After an initial search of the area the suspect was found in a neighborhood backyard. He was taken into custody without incident.

Officers are investigating, however they believe it to be a domestic incident case.
