ARVIN, Calif. (KERO) — One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting in Arvin Friday.

At two locations on Bush Street, near Comanche Drive, Arvin police officers found two people with gunshot wounds Friday afternoon. While officers were responding for a call of shots heard they were flagged down by the driver of a vehicle. The passenger had multiple gunshot wounds.

More officers continued down the road and found a vehicle that was overturned.

The driver had a gunshot wound and was declared dead at the scene.
