BAKERSFIELD, Calif (KERO) — A man is dead after a shooting took place in Southeast Bakersfield Sunday evening.

According to Kern County Sheriff's Office, Deputies responded in the 900 block Cannon Avenue west of Cottonwood Avenue at about 10:30 p.m.

Deputies arrived and found an unidentified male victim suffering from trauma.

He later died from his injuries.

There is currently no suspect information available.
