BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A pizza delivery driver was driving down Union Avenue Sunday night when their vehicle was shot several times, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

BPD said the driver had been in the area of Manor Street around 9:41 p.m. Sunday when another vehicle began following them. The vehicle then began firing several shots at the pizza delivery driver, hitting the vehicle but not the driver.

BPD said the pizza delivery driver arrived at a hospital later that evening and reported the incident. Later that night, BPD officers located a vehicle that matched the suspect vehicle description.
