UPDATE: Second victim identified from South Bakersfield shooting

(UPDATE 12/8): The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified 38-year-old Manuel Romero as the second victim killed in a shooting in South Bakersfield last week.


(UPDATE 12/3): KCSO has identified the victim as Eduardo Javier Cardenas, 39.


The search is on for the suspects in two separate shootings overnight that left three people dead.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office confirmed with 23ABC that two people were killed in a shooting at around 3 a.m. near Terrace Way and Hughes Lane.

Deputies located three shooting victims at the scene. Two were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim was taken to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown.

There is no suspect information at this time.

One man died from his injuries following a shooting at Flower and Miller streets around 6 p.m. Tuesday night.

Deputies found one man in the area with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital and has since died.

KCSO homicide detectives are investigating both scenes.
