Stabbing in East Bakersfield leaves victim with moderate to major injuries, suspect in custody

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On person is left with moderate to major injuries following a stabbing in East Bakersfield Wednesday afternoon, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said they took a suspect into custody at the scene.

According to KCSO responded to reports of a stabbing around 2 p.m. in the 3100 block of Lake Street, near Mt. Vernon Avenue.

Officials did not release information about the victim or the suspect at this time.
