Two men arrested in Bakersfield for violent crime in Ventura County

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Two men were arrested for a violent crime they are suspected of being involved in within Ventura County, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

According to BPD, officers and SWAT were called to assist the Ventura County Sheriff's Office serve warrants for two men located in Northeast Bakersfield. BPD said the warrants were related to a violent crime that occurred within Ventura County Sheriff's jurisdiction.

BPD, sheriff's, and SWAT responded to the City in the Hills neighborhood, off of Panorama Drive and Vineland Road, where the two men were located inside a home.

BPD said the two men were taken into custody without incident.

At the time of the arrest BPD spokesperson Sgt. Robert Pair had no more details regarding the nature of the crime in Ventura County or how the two men made their way to Bakersfield.
