BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield City Council received an update and even a virtual tour of the Brundage Lane navigation center to see the progress that is being made. The center's staff provided the city council a virtual tour Wednesday afternoon.
They went through each office in the building even saying that Kern Medical will be helping with medical services.
Staff says the next steps for them are continued construction, renovation, and preparation work. That includes fire alarms, sprinklers, IT network, electrical, Flooring and gas, and ventilation. They are also looking at coordination for hiring and training staff for the center.
Constructions plans have been approved as they continue. The city council also said that the goal is still to open in the fall.
