BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The City of Bakersfield is one step closer to opening its new homeless facility.

The City of Bakersfield posted pictures Monday showing the inside of the new facility located at the old Calcot building off East Brundage and MLK Boulevard.

The facility will provide 150 beds to the homeless.

The city says work is continuing around the clock and it's on track to open in the fall.
