State lawmakers will get their first shot at discussing Governor Gavin Newsom's proposed plan to fight homelessness in California.
Earlier this week a government watchdog group said the governor's proposed $750 million plan wouldn't help the situation and would actually interfere with programs already in place.
Last month Newsom released his plan to battle the homeless crisis, providing money for housing, shelters and would help people close to eviction pay their rent.
Thursday state lawmakers will review Newsom's plan during a public hearing.
