Over 100 Kern County firefighters are currently helping with out-of-county fires across the state.
71 firefighters are assisting with the Chimney Fire in San Luis Obispo County. The fire is currently 6,400 acres and 10% contained.
37 more firefighters are helping with the Soberanes Fire in Monterey County, which has burned over 76,000 acres and is 60% contained.
Six more are assisting with the Mineral Fire in Fresno County and four are at the Horseshoe Fire in Inyo County. One more is at the Pilot Fire in San Bernardino County.
