BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The 16th annual Fishing Derby took place at the Park at Riverwalk on Saturday morning.

700 pounds of fish were dropped into the lake for hundreds of people to fish out. 10 fish were tagged, and those who caught those fish won $200.

There were also awards given for the top three largest fish caught.

Admission is $8 for ages 17 and under, and $15 for adults.

Participants must bring their own fishing gear, and ages 16+ must have a valid California fishing license.
