A two-year-old girl has died after an apparent drowning in a backyard pool in East Bakersfield.
Rhyleen Sanchez, 2, of Bakersfield was found unresponsive in a backyard pool in the 700 block of Park Drive on Sunday evening, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death, but the case will likely be a drowning, according to KCSO Public Information Officer Ray Pruitt.
