Jim Wilson is 95 years old and still remembers his experience with World War II. He enlisted in the army at age 18 in 1940.
A year and a half into his service, he was blown out of a foxhole in Germany. He was then taken prisoner, where he remained for three and a half years.
After he was saved, he was medically discharged, ending his life-long dream.
To this day, he still has flashbacks, sometimes keeping him awake at night.
"The things I saw you never lose them. You never do. You don’t talk about it but you never lose it," said Wilson.
