Amtrak is waiving their $25 pet fee through March 2017 as part of a promotion with Universal for the movie “The Secret Life of Pets”.

However there are limitations. The cat or dog must be 20 pounds or less and the trip must be less than seven hours.

Select stations will even have prizes related to the film. Last year, more than 15,000 pets rode the rails with their owners.
