ARVIN, Calif. — Arvin's cooling center will be open Wednesday as temperatures continue to rise.

The cooling centers, which are operated by the Kern County Parks Division in cooperation with the Department of Aging and Adult Services, are opened when temperatures are forecast to exceed certain highs.

The open Arvin cooling center location is:

• Arvin Community Center (800 Walnut Drive)

The cooling centers are open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
