Calling all vegans, and meat eaters too! You must try The Hen's Roost in downtown Bakersfield. It is a hidden spot serving up vegan lunches and fresh products from around Kern County.
The Hen's Roost acts as a store front for local businesses to sell their items like breads, spices, and nuts. But you cannot miss their freshly made lunch dishes that are all vegan.
Jaclyn and her team take the fresh products they sell and turn it into sauces, burgers, salads, and much more.
If you are a meat-eater, don't be scared, the food is delicious! The corn dog and burgers taste like meat and you cannot notice a difference.
The tacos are full of flavor and their Thai fries are out-of-this-world.
Head to Hen's Roost on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10-4 p.m. at 1916 G St. in Downtown Bakersfield.
